Your Praise to All Generations

“Sunday, June 20, 1835 dawned on the village of Newton much like any other Sunday . . . It was in fact to the courthouse that a group of people could be seen headed that Sunday morning so long ago for the purpose of holding a meeting to establish a new Baptist church congregation.” excerpt from The History of First Baptist.

On Sunday, June 20, 2010 First Baptist Church of Newton celebrated its 175th anniversary. Members and friends both near and far joined with us in celebrating God’s faithfulness. Pastor Allan Davis, who served as pastor at First Baptist for 31 years along with his family were a welcome part of this glad occasion.

So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations. ~Psalm 79:13
