Pastor R. Scott Boger
Born in Philadelphia and drawn to the Lord at an early age, Scott grew up as a missionary kid in Nova Scotia. Returning to the United States to study and eventually graduate from Washington Bible College in 1989. While at Bible College, Scott met and married his wife, Susie. He returned to Nova Scotia for sixteen years of pastoral ministry in two churches. Scott and Susie also welcomed four precious gifts into the world, Katie, Bobby, Courtney and Melissa. After receiving a call to First Baptist in Newton, NJ, the Boger’s moved south and have been in ministry here since May 2005. Scott enjoys the outdoors, baseball, reading, puzzles and people.

Roger Cassell
Roger was raised in New Jersey and attended the Episcopal Church as a young boy through his high school years. He spent two years in the Marine Corp and subsequently attended Arizona State University where he received a B.A. in English with emphasis on literature. The Lord blessed him with his wife Pamela and two children, Jason and Heather. Roger came to know the Lord in 1997. A member of First Baptist since November 2002, Roger has served as a Sunday School teacher, Trustee, and Small Group leader.

  Glenn Deal
Glenn has been a member of First Baptist Church family for 13 years. He has served in various capacities in the church such as Sunday School teacher, Trustee and Junior church coordinator. The Lord has blessed him with his wife Laura and three (3) children Alexandra, Nicole and Christian. He was also blessed to be raised in a Christian family and accept Jesus Christ as his Savior in his mid-teens at a Christian conference in Northfield, MA. Being born and raised in Massachusetts he enjoys and cheers for all the Boston sports teams.

 Bob Orr
Raised in Montclair, NJ, Bob attended a solid Presbyterian Church where he heard the Gospel and turned early to the LORD. In his teens he came to question the validity of “baptizing” infants. He attended college in Tennessee; worked; spent 4 years in the US Air Force; and finished his degree in Biology. Finding no openings in Biology, he went into computer programming for some 25 years until 9/11, when his field dried up. He married Regina Slowinski in 1978 and the LORD gave them three children (Tamar, Shireen, and Cameron). Both daughters have married great men. He is now the grandfather of two grandsons, David and Jonathan. Bob is presently doing maintenance work for the Salvation Army’s School for Officer Training in Suffern, NY. He and his wife began attending First Baptist Church in April, 2006 and became members a few months later.

George became a member at FBC of Newton Sept 2007 after 11 years at a Reformed Baptist church. Their family enjoys biking, skiing and playing Irish music.
